Brian York - Talladega County Circuit Clerk

Brian York is the Circuit Clerk for Talladega County, Alabama. He is a graduate of University of Birmingham at Alabama with a degree in Financial Management. He graduated from Birmingham School of Law in 2015. Prior to becoming the Circuit Clerk, Mr. York served two terms as mayor of Talladega, Alabama, from 2003 to 2011. Before becoming mayor of Talladega Mr. York he was in the banking industry from 1993 to 2005.

He has served as treasurer for Habitat for Humanity, Division Head for United Way for North Talladega County, President of Kiwanis in Talladega, President of Kiwanis in Lincoln, former member of the Talladega Rotary Club, Served as board member of the city of Talladega Recreation Board, President of Talladega Little League Girls Softball, President of Talladega Little League Boys Baseball, coached over 35 youth baseball, softball, soccer and basketball teams.

Brian is a public servant and enjoys serving his community. He is married to Angela Bussey York and they have two children, Mallory Phillips and Blaine York. They have one grandson, Jared and two granddaughters, Mallory and  Hadlee. Angela is a retired teacher from the Talladega County School system and currently operates Funky Paisley Boutique (women's apparel). Mallory has a bachelors degree from Jacksonville State University and currently lives and works in Ringgold, Georgia. She is married to Dustin Phillips who works for Shaw Industries.  Blaine is a graduate of Auburn University.  He resides with his wife, Abby Schweig York. They reside in Kansas City, Kansas.  Blaine works for M & W Landscape.  Abby is in her medical residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
